Meet me on the hill
Where the widows go to grieve
So we can add a shine
To the sorrow
We will hold their hands
And hold them close
Share our love and
Try to mend their broken hearts
Meet me near the old oak tree
Where the orphans play
So we can add a smile
To their sad faces
We will hug away their sorrow
And play tag among the wheat
Share our love and
Try to mend their broken hearts
Meet me on the corner
Where young lovers meet
So we can soak up
The love that saturates the place
We will teach the lovers what we know
And when it ends hold them close
Share our love and
Try to mend their broken hearts
Meet me in the churc
I keep forgetting that
you won't be walking
in through the front door
any time soon
that I will never
look upon your face
ever again
and that we will never
walk through the park
hand in hand again
But every night I am
reminded of your absence
your side of the bed is
cold and empty
and still smells like you
I cry myself to sleep
continually because I miss you so
Why did you have to go
especially the way you did
I wish you weren't such a hero
selfishly
I wish you were still here
I still love you and always will

Home Like No Other
I never suspected that you would
Carve your mark into my heart
But I have found that you
Are irrevocably part of me
You are written on my soul
Always pulling me back
To where I know I belong
No matter how long I am away
You always feel like home
Every time I step in close
You fold me into your open arms
And you are where I will
Always feel at home
You are
Cold ice cream on a summer day
You are
A plunge into a an icy river
You are
Curling up in front of a blazing fire
You are
Like holding hands for the first time
You are
Greater than a first kiss
You are
A Colorado sunset and sunrise
You are
The cause of butterflies in my belly
You are
My favorite movie five times over
You are
Stolen glances on a first date
You are
Laughter and smiles and life
You are to me
Home
Shake and Shiver by thedreamersmovement, literature
Literature
Shake and Shiver
my dreams curl inside me
folding in on themselves
knowing they may never
fully breath in life
shake and shiver
they stop and start
every day they try to
breathe in new life
but life will not let them live
shake and shiver
i want to break them free
and give them life
but the fear inside
beats them down
shake and shiver
maybe tomorrow
when i wake up
the fear will be conquered
and my dreams will fly free
shake and shiver
Soldiers of Emotion by thedreamersmovement, literature
Literature
Soldiers of Emotion
We were like soldiers
Trained to not show emotions
"Hold it all in," they said
"Don't ever let them see you weak"
So we hold it in
Never once showing how we truly feel
Letting the fear, anger, pain
Tear our insides to pieces
As blood pools in our chests
Pain growing every day
We grasp tightly to their instructions
Too afraid to let our feelings out
Until one day we start bleeding out
Blood and emotions mixing together
Creating a painful masterpiece
A painting of our sorrows
We will be soldiers 'till the end
Even if it kills us
